Chassis has been sandblasted and painted in French grey enamel. Newly fabricated running boards are complete, and hard-to-find Gray & Davis carbide generator is mounted. Rear end has been rebuilt, and braking system has been completed. (Status as of May 2003.)

Loren Burch spent five days at the Shappy restoration facility (before going back to the west coast from Hershey) putting the finishing touches on not one but two Cad demi's that are currently being restored.
